Using your mobile phone abroad has always been prohibitively expensive.
People can find themselves paying as much as 10 times more for making calls or sending texts overseas.
But with Sim4theworld, you have the freedom to use your mobile phone abroad just as you would at home, without seeing your phone bill soar tenfold in the process.
|
| How Sim4theworld helps? |
You might travel abroad frequently, on business say, or you might just go abroad once a year for your holiday. Either way, Sim4theworld will help you save money.
All you need to do is replace your UK SIM card with our Sim4theworld SIM card, and you will be able to make calls and send texts abroad at a fraction of the cost you would otherwise have to pay.
On average, Sim4theworld can save you up to 85% on calls made from around the world.
Not only is our SIM card a real cost-saver, it's also incredibly convenient.
It works in 75 countries.
It means you can receive calls completely free of charge in 65 countries.
And you can top up anywhere, whenever you wish. |

| How do we manage to save you so much money? |
When you take your mobile phone abroad, it will connect itself to one of the networks operating in that country. This is called roaming.
With roaming you can make and receive calls exactly as you would in the UK - except that cost of doing so rockets.
You could find yourself paying almost £2 a minute just to receive a call. You also pay for collecting your voicemails while the cost of making calls can spiral by as much as ten fold.
Roaming is bank-breaking because the regulations governing tariffs charged abroad are not tough enough to prevent networks levying high costs.
However, Sim4theworld means that, just by switching the SIM card in your phone, you can swap high costs for low. Wherever you travel, you will always be free of outrageous roaming rates. |

| How Sim4theworld works? |
Sim4theworld can be used on most mobile phones.
For Sim4theworld to function, however, the mobile phone must be unlocked from its network.
If a mobile phone is locked to a network, then the only SIM card it will accept will be a card supplied by that network. When this is the case, the phone must first be uncoupled from the network. Then it is free to accept a Sim4theworld card.

| Is your phone Locked? |
You can tell whether your phone is locked or not by slipping in a SIM card from another network.
The appearance of an error message, perhaps saying that the SIM card has not been accepted or is not valid, means that the phone is locked.
Should the phone continue to work normally, it is not locked. |

| How to Unlock your phone? |
| Unlocking a phone is easy. You can ask the retailer who sold you the phone to unlock it or you can get your network provider to do it. There might be a small fee involved (from £5 up to £25). If you ask your retailer, they will be able to unlock your phone in a matter of minutes. With a network, however, it can take up to 28 days.
Once you phone is unlocked, it will be free to accept a Sim4theworld card.

| Making a Call |
|
When you make a call from abroad using Sim4theworld, it is exactly the same as making a call in the UK so long as you have a compatible handset. The only difference is that instead of getting directly through to the person you are calling, there will be a brief 'call back' between dialling the number and being connected.
1. Dial the number including the international dialling code ie. +12121234567
2. You will see a "Please Wait" message. The phone will then disconnect. Different phones will display varied messages. Some may even say “call failed” or even “call rejected”
3. Please wait & Within 2-7 seconds you will receive a ‘callback'
4. Answer the call and you will hear a message saying your call is being connected.
5. You will be connected to the person you are calling
Hence, save or dial the numbers as explained above shown below:
*125*1*countrycode&number# . For example:
| UK Landline: |
|
+442071234567 |
| UK Mobile: |
|
+447887123456 |
| USA: |
|
+12121234567 |

|
+43112345 |
| Belgium Mobile |
|

+302101234567 |
| India Mobile |
|
+919812345678 |
| Nigeria Lagos |
|
+23411234567 |
Since the SIM card is not compatible with all handsets, you may find that you do not receive the ‘callback’ This means that your handset is not compatible to work as shown above. Instead, you simply have to save or enter the number prefixed with *125*1*countrycode&number #.
Hence, save or dial the numbers as shown below:
*125*1*countrycode&number #. For example
| UK Landline: |
|
*125*1*442071234567# |

*125*1*302101234567# |
| India Mobile |
|
*125*1*919812345678# |
| Nigeria Lagos |
|
*125*1*23411234567# |
Remember to end the number with the #key and it is very important to store the numbers accurately as shown above or the SIM card will not work.
